Short Bio and Picture
Elisa Giannone is a Junior Researcher at Centre de Recerca en Economia Internacional (CREi), an Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE) and an Assistant Professor at Penn State (on leave). She has been a Visiting Scholar at the Minneapolis Fed Opportunity and Inclusive Growth Institute, a Research Economist at the Richmond FED and a Post-doc at the International Economics Section at Princeton University. She obtained his PhD in Economics from University of Chicago in 2017, under the supervision of Erik Hurst. Her research focuses on macroeconomics and economic geography. In her papers, she aims at combining microdata with structural model to understand and answer questions related to growth and inequality over time and across space. She is also a Research Affiliate at CEPR.
